HCM Strategists Welcomes Cara Tenenbaum to the Staff as a Director

Cara Brings Policy Expertise Experience From Her Work with the Food and Drug Administration & a Passion For Patient Advocacy After Working for a Number of Women’s Health Organizations

Washington, D.C. – HCM Strategists, one of the nation’s leading healthcare advocacy, policy and engagement firms, today announced that Cara Tenenbaum will be joining the staff as a Director for HCM’s Health Innovation practice. Cara is an expert healthcare policy analyst that specializes in women’s health, digital health and personalized medicine.

As a Director, Cara will serve as an integral member of the Health Innovation team to lead and manage multiple client projects with a focus on improving access to reproductive and sexual health services, as well as treatments and services for mental health and substance use disorders.

Cara most recently served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Center for Devices and Radiological Health at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). In this role, she worked with internal and external stakeholders regarding key policy issues. Cara also served in the Office of Legislation and the Office of External Affairs while at the FDA.

Previously, Cara spent seven years in policy and advocacy at what is now the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, serving as Vice President for Policy and External Affairs. She has dedicated her career to increase access to healthcare for women, from ovarian cancer to abortion.

Cara received her Juris Doctor (JD) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Case Western Reserve University and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland.
