Director of Stakeholder Engagement
Valarie Clark serves as the director of stakeholder engagement for HCM’s Health Innovation team. In this role, she serves as a primary point of contact to the All of Us Research Program. Valarie has extensive experience in public and academic health and a strong passion for community engagement. Working on behalf of All of Us, she strives to engage community leaders and advocates to establish relationships, build trust and garner commitment.
Prior to joining HCM, Valarie worked as the director of constituent engagement for the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) in Washington, D.C. In this position, she planned and implemented professional development activities for staff and senior medical school leaders. Valarie also previously worked for Women in Medicine in Washington, D.C.
Valarie is a proud alumnus of two HBCUs. She received her bachelor’s of science from Norfolk State University before going on to earn her master’s of public administration from Clark Atlanta University. She also serves on the boards for Generation Hope and Leadership Greater Washington.
Valarie is originally from Boston but currently lives in Washington, D.C., where she enjoys the rich culture, museums and theaters. Outside of work, she is passionate about civic engagement and enjoys rooting for Boston’s winning sports teams.
