This month we look forward to the release of our brief Level Up: Leveraging Explicit Value for Every Black Learner, Unapologetically in conjunction with a call to action from national leaders to address a decades-long decline in postsecondary Black student enrollment—particularly at community colleges. HCM is supporting the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's release of a new education policy report as part of our contributions to the Future of Data, Assessments, and Accountability in K-12 Education initiative. This will be the first comprehensive analysis of existing research on federal education policies since No Child Left Behind, and examines lessons learned from the last 20 years of education policy, with a particular emphasis on the importance of quality data on student learning to inform future policy and systems change.
