Mitza Luna
FIRM ADMINISTRATOR AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PARTNERS
Mitza Luna is HCM’s firm administrator providing HCM’s partners and leadership team with executive support including project management, operational and procedural oversight support, and events management.
Before joining HCM, Mitza held numerous administrative and operational roles in a variety of sectors. Most recently she served as an executive assistant at Powerfront, a leading provider of customer engagement technology and solutions for luxury retail brands. She also was the events and activities director for JCI Senior Living, the activities director at Regency Healthcare–a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, and a special events and marketing assistant in the parks and recreation department for the city of San Marcos, Texas. Mitza decided to make the transition to the educational policy field because of HCM’s mission of improving our nation’s educational systems through equitable access across the education pipeline. As a first generation college graduate from immigrant parents, she considers herself a beneficiary of the same policies that HCM advocates for in their client work.
Mitza graduated from Texas State University with a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration. She resides in Austin, Texas, and enjoys reading, paddle boarding, hiking with her dog, and baking every type of cookie ever made.
