Washington, D.C. – HCM Strategists, one of the nation’s leading advocacy and public policy firms, today announced that Bobby Clark will be joining the staff full-time as a principal. Bobby is a renowned expert on a number of health policy issues, including the regulation of food, drugs, and medical devices, as well as biomedical research and development, health insurance reform, health care financing, and delivery system reform. As a principal for the HCM team, Bobby will continue his role in advising organizations and executives on the health policy landscape and helping them navigate shifting trends in the U.S. health marketplace. Bobby will also pilot a new public sector management practice as part of his role at HCM.

Bobby Clark is a recognized leader on U.S. health policy whose extensive career includes serving as a counselor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) during the Obama Administration where he advised Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell on policy and regulatory matters related to public health and science. Prior to joining HHS, Bobby worked at PwC’s Health Research Institute, where he led the Institute’s analysis of regulatory and policy initiatives impacting the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. He also served as a senior staff member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, Subcommittee on Health and for Representative Frank Pallone, Jr. of New Jersey. He continues to be an opinion contributor on health policy issues for the Morning Consult, The Hill and STAT News.
Bobby graduated in 2002 with high honors from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey at New Brunswick with a dual degree in political science and sociology. He earned a master’s of public policy degree from Georgetown University in 2006, where he specialized in health care policy and studied international management at Oxford University’s Trinity College.
