Why I work with HCM
My time in the classroom proved to me that every child deserves access to an equitable and excellent education. I believe deeply that HCM’s work with stakeholders across the school system is leading to transformative change, especially for Black, LatinX, Indigenous, and other under-represented communities.
Associate Director, K-12
Liddy has dedicated her life’s work to youth and education. She began her career as a teacher of science and health with Teach for America at a high school in rural Idaho. It was her incredible experience in the classroom that drove her toward the policy field and advocacy for an excellent and equitable education for all students.
Liddy brings this love of learning to her role as associate director at HCM, where she supports a variety of clients in our K-12 practice. She is an integral part of HCM’s parents’ engagement and assessment work with both Learning Heroes and the National PTA, including leading nationwide listening sessions with parents and synthesizing the findings.
Liddy holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology, anthropology, and environmental studies from Middlebury College, and is currently working towards her master’s in public administration at Boise State University, where she also serves as an adjunct professor of university foundations, a freshman-level content and college readiness course.
Liddy resides in Boise, Idaho with her fiancé, four chickens, a duck and a dog. When she is not working she enjoys gardening, hiking, biking and taking advantage of the vast beauty Idaho’s wilderness has to offer.
