Lumina Foundation to Host Conversation on How FutureReady States Are Defining—and Redefining—Credentials of Value

Through Lumina Foundation’s FutureReady States initiative, 12 states are developing or refining their definitions of “credentials of value” to help guide investments and strengthen outcomes for learners, workers, employers, and state economies.

On Thursday, July 23, at 2 PM EDT, Lumina Foundation will host a webinar to discuss how states are defining and redefining credentials of value. In this webinar, leaders from Connecticut, Mississippi, and North Carolina will share how they’ve approached this work, what they’ve learned along the way, and how those definitions are shaping workforce and education policy in their states. Attendees will leave the webinar with practical approaches for defining, vetting, and communicating credential value that could be applied in their own state.

HCM Director of State Policy and Research, Stephanie Murphy, Ph.D. will host this timely discussion. State policymakers, state workforce and higher education leaders, and anyone involved in credential or workforce investment decisions should attend.
