PNPI Announces New Board Chair and Two New Board Members

The Postsecondary National Policy Institute (PNPI) is proud to announce the election of two new board members: Denise Forte, Senior Fellow at the Century Foundation and Adrian Haugabrook, Senior Vice President and University Chief of Staff at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). In addition to PNPI’s new members, the board appointed Terrell Halaska as board chair.

“I am thrilled to join PNPI’s board to support and advance their development of policy professionals interested in higher education,” said Denise Forte, Senior Fellow at the Century Foundation. “The team at PNPI has impressed me time and again with their excellent programming for Congressional staff and others who want to increase their knowledge of policy analysis and development. I am excited to work with the team and the board as we look to the future of PNPI.”

“Progress in higher education will ultimately be influenced by policies our nation brings forth,” said Adrian Haugabrook, Senior Vice President and University Chief of Staff at SNHU. “I am truly honored to serve with PNPI, an organization committed to providing extraordinary professional development experiences to our nation’s federal policymakers who are focusing on postsecondary success.”

“I am honored to be selected to serve as the chair and to welcome such distinguished colleagues to PNPI’s board,” said Terrell Halaska, Partner at HCM Strategists and newly elected board chair. “PNPI is a vital and impactful organization, developing excellent leaders in postsecondary policy, and I look forward to supporting this organization as it continues to evolve.”

Dr. Steven Edwards will now serve as the PNPI board’s treasurer, having just completed his three-year term as board chair. “We are forever grateful for Steve’s service to our board and PNPI as a whole,” said MaryEllen McGuire, PNPI’s founder and president. “As our founding board chair, his commitment and leadership played a large part in PNPI’s development these past few years. We look forward to continuing our successes under the leadership of Terrell Halaska, our new board chair, and are delighted to welcome Adrian and Denise to the board”.
