We are excited to announce key additions to our team to further advance our mission to transform education through student-centered policies and initiatives that increase access, affordability, and postsecondary value. We welcome Tom Allison to HCM, and we are thrilled to bring Marissa Molina and Jailain Hollon on board as they transition from fellows to full-time roles.
Tom Allison joins the HCM team as our Director of State Policy & Finance. With a strong background in state-level higher education policy, Tom’s previous work at the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has focused on creating more equitable funding models and innovative financial aid programs. Tom’s expertise will contribute to HCM’s efforts to develop sustainable funding strategies that support students and institutions alike. Connect with Tom
Marissa Molina is our new Director of Career Competitive Learning. Marissa’s work in education and immigration advocacy has been recognized at the national level, and she continues to push for policies that open doors for underrepresented students. As a DACA recipient and the first Dreamer to hold a trustee position at Metropolitan State University of Denver, Marissa’s personal and professional experiences uniquely position her to lead initiatives that expand access to competitive career pathways for all students. Jailain Hollon steps into his new role as Associate Director of Communications & Stakeholder Engagement after serving as HCM’s first communications policy fellow earlier this year. His agency experience in media planning and digital strategy has allowed him to lead impactful campaigns for major brands like King’s Candy Crush and Audible. At HCM, Jailain is responsible for crafting comprehensive communications strategies, ensuring our work resonates across diverse audiences and stakeholders. Connect with Jailain
